Over the years the villa has proven again and again how perfect it is for family groups.
In the 11 years it has been a holiday let we've hosted people coming together for special birthday celebrations, as part of a wedding party or just enjoying a regular family holiday in the sun.
We're often asked 'is the villa suitable for families?' We can confidently say that we have been approved by the prestigious Tots to Travel company as suitable for children, babies and toddlers. This shows we have a comprehensive list of equipment available to parents who dont have to pack their own supplies! But holidays are more than travel cots and highchairs (although they help!) so we have also put together some of the reasons our guests choose to holiday at No 21 with their families.
Location, location, location:
Being within a 5 minute stroll to the pretty village of San Jose means your group doesn't have to be car reliant...what a relief! No ferrying the teenagers back and forth...let them catch the bus. It's so easy!
At No. 21 there's no stress for the designated driver. Have a lie in without guilt as any early risers can stroll in to the village for a coffee, breakfast or a wander around the shops.
Whilst our guests with toddlers have found the village playground to be a welcome diversion when the kids get fed up of the pool as it has swings, slides, roundabouts and a couple of handy benches for parents to sit on. The ground is fully rubberised so it's very safe. Combine it with a visit to the Italian cafe bar to sample their homeade ice cream, it will soon become a regular pastime!
...and finally, no rushing to the car when you forget that important item from the supermarket. Just stroll to the village and take your pick from the shops, oh...and why not have a beer or a chilled glass of wine whilst you're at it?
Our View: A remote villa is lovely, but it can be a strain to have to drive everyone about...so try a holiday at No 21 - it's the easy option!
Baby Facilities: - an easy life
Holidaying with toddlers or babies at No 21 is as simple as we can make it. The villa is fully equipped with the following;
2 cots with bedding, 2 high chairs, baby bath and stair gate
Baby crockery, cups, cutlery and bottle steriliser
Baby monitor, potty, child step and toddler loo seat...plus a small selection of toys in our ever-popular toy box.
And all this is FOC. Plus the local chemist is on hand for baby formulas and, for peace of mind, the village also has a Doctor that speaks English and a walk in health centre.
Gated Pool - safety in mind:
Many of our guests have told us what a boon it is to have the safety of the lockable gates on the lounge terrace and the BBQ/dining area.
Little ones are fast on their feet...and it's nice to know you can relax over dinner or be happy to have the lounge doors open without the worry of them darting off unseen.
Layout - everyone can have their own space:
Many villas just have a pool area surrounded by garden, but No 21 has different areas that people can get away to and have some private time.
The roof terrace is very popular and we have made sure it caters for all needs with 4 sun loungers and a shaded seating area (with funky blow up furniture!)
Near the BBQ area we have a 'chill out' zone complete with comfy bean bags (teenagers love them!) and a soothing 'Buddha' water feature
Past the BBQ/dining area is a relaxed seating area that takes in the view over the back field and gets a wonderful breeze, even on hot days.
Both the double and master bedroom open on to a large balcony where you'll find the 'pod'...always a favourite; like relaxing in a huge bed.
...and finally, under the tree in a corner of the garden is a hammock. We call this the 'snooze spot'.
Regular bus service - great for teenagers to feel independent:
A regular bus service runs through the village to San Antonio (one direction) and Ibiza Town (the other direction). If you're holidaying with older children this is a perfect way for them to have independence without relying on mum and dad.
Older teenagers wanting to sample the nightlife or sunset can use the airport bus. It runs until the early hours of the morning and stops in the village...so an easy, safe and cheap way of getting home after a night out!
